Shrock Trucking is a small, family-owned long-haul carrier known for a "driver-first" culture and modern equipment, including 2020–2023 models with APUs and PrePass. While drivers benefit from flexible home time and a respectful, family atmosphere where they are known by name, the company’s formal benefits and shrock trucking pay may fall below large-carrier averages. Ultimately, it is a strong fit for those prioritizing a supportive environment and consistent West Coast miles over corporate-scale compensation.
Shrock driver reviews paint a picture of a company that excels in equipment quality and offers a personal, family-like atmosphere for those who prefer flexibility. However, the experience is polarized; while some find the pay and management "outstanding" , others warn of low pay, lack of benefits, and administrative hurdles following injuries or accidents. It appears to be a "what you make of it" environment where personal initiative and a good relationship with management are key to success.

Shrock Trucking is a small, family-owned carrier established in 1996 and based out of the Shrock Trucking terminals in Springfield, MO. Operating a fleet of around 44 power units, the company specializes in long-haul routes primarily running from the Midwest to the West Coast and back, with options for shorter or part-time work. The company's culture is its biggest draw, characterized by respectful, family-like management where drivers are known by name. Safety metrics are excellent, notably achieving Out-of-Service (OOS) rates significantly better than the national average. The key trade-off for drivers is the inconsistency and lower transparency regarding formal benefits and pay compared to larger carriers.

Shrock has been the best trucking company experience I have ever had! They treat you with respect and honesty. Give them that in return and you will have a long career here!
It's like any truck driving job, run hard get paid run little and don't get paid, it's what you make of it.But with Shrock you have more freedom to choose how you would like to run.
I was able to learn a lot in a short amount of time. The president truly cares about all the employees, their families and them succeeding. This is a family owned company.
New update: truck #9018 is number 1! My husband was Setup to back into parking spot at shipper. And this lady thinks she is first(even though she was already happily parked.) What Professional Truck Driver pulls in forward?! She almost hit our truck! Who do you think you are?! Katie, it’s not my husband’s job to provide everything for you to train your driver. Here’s the proof of a bad driver. Why did she pull forward to park? This is why women drivers get laughed at.
Traded a truck that they sold for 3000 and 1000 in cash to get a junkyard motor put in my 98 Chevy. Fair enough deal, but the mechanic Ethan has had it for a year and 6 months and never completed it! Gave him til August first to complete it or I was taking it to another shop and will handle money in civil court. He decided to actually do something on it so I gave him 2 additional weeks, and now he wants me to pick it up and change the oil pump out because he has plans with his wife. I have been patient for a 18 months but I am over it. Horrible service definitely make sure that if you use this place ETHAN is not your mechanic
Amazing service and got the repairs it done quickly compared to other mechanics
Its nice to know your trucks will run 80mph..trk 9036 is a killer looking truck..
i dont know why you hire unsafe drivers that put people at risk. they quickly cur people off. ive never seen a truck driver with no regard to human life
Great experience, owner and staff were very kind and attentive to hear out any needs or recommendations. Has a very good home feel to it :)
Best mechanics in town!!
Gonna give a shoutout to Shrock Trucking for bein' one of the best companies I've worked with. Well done guys
Owen and his team are all about treatin' you right and gettin' you home safe
From the top-down, they're all about quality customer service
A+ company!
Trucks are all new models with all the bells and whistles
Nice people but very low pay scale! The lowest in the trucking industry! Gotta keep up with the times man! No benefits, no 401(k) no insurance! Need to Pay fairly! I can see if it was someone directly out of truck driving school, but somebody with 10 and 20 or 30 years experience. You don’t pay them near what they deserve.
Awesome company! The shop is excellent,Dispatch is friendly and on the ball, the office is always ontime with payroll and the owner is great! Plenty of miles if you want them.
31cents a mile solo. Management is messy, and unorganized. TrailLiner is the one that keeps you goin and Shruck just mess up with your money all the time and both ladies are always complaining to their employees how they don’t have time to take care of what they get paid to do. The owner is a joke and so is his company -nothing but bunch of moochers. Don’t work here!
Worked here as a driver. Great company great people. I never had to hear from brokers and rarely heard from office staff. Delivery dates gave you plenty of time to get there. They will take care of you as much as possible.
Owen and staff are awesome
This companies Driver caused an accident and struck my vehicle and has damaged my vehicle and refuses to accept my calls and shows NO interest in trying to even contact me over this matter...the blatant lack of professionalism is beyond acceptable..if this is how he runs his business...l am surprised that he can even afford to keep his trucks on the road....give this some serious thought before you hire this company to ship for you!
Always a friendly face when you walk through the door. Owen is an Awesome boss, Jason always has loads for the drivers and keeps you moving, Penny is Always on the ball when you have a question or need help. The shop is always up on services and repairs. I highly recommend this company. Very family oriented!! Keep up the Awesome job guys!!

Awesome place to work for! Extremely Family oriented. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. No forced dispatch. Owner truly takes care of his drivers. I highly recommend this company for anyone with at least a year OTR driving experience.
Awesome very nice people Great place to work

I went in to talk face to face with the owner. I was very impressed with its small family size business. Owen was great to talk to. He answered every question or concern I had.

Good place to work and drive. Gets you home when you want.
Great place to work awesome people to work for
Super epic. 10/10 would recommend!
Great work with wonderful people
Awesome place ... Awesome Guys
Great management, industry appropriate pay scale with steady increases. Good benefits and vacation pay. Flexible runs local or longhaul. Newer equipment with great maintenance schedule. Overall great experience.
The work environment and dedication to getting drivers home when needed. They try to keep you planned on runs. There maintenance schedule is really good. Every time driver comes in to Springfield truck is greased and all maintenance is taken care of befor next dispatch
after non fault accident, I was not put back to work. owner told unemployment I was fired for insubordination and falsely reported on my DAC that I didn't report the accident. I was unaware of either and it kept me from continuing my career
Family owned and ran. Not enough miles though or pay. Too much sitting and not enough running to make any pay at this job.
