L J Rogers Trucking appears to be a strong option for drivers seeking consistent OTR work, reliable equipment, and a respectful, low‑stress work environment. For individuals exploring LJ Rogers jobs, the company presents itself as a stable employer with competitive pay and a driver‑focused culture. Although publicly available driver feedback is limited, the information that does exist suggests the company treats its drivers fairly and offers compensation that is competitive for its size.
L J Rogers Trucking (est. 1986) is a family‑run carrier based in Mebane, NC, operating roughly 127 power units with terminals and activity across major Eastern and Midwest metros. Drivers describe a friendly, small‑company atmosphere, steady regional miles with weekly home time, late‑model equipment, and responsive night dispatch. When reviewing lj rogers pay, the structure is competitive for a mid‑sized carrier, though CPM progression depends on hitting monthly mileage tiers.
Tradeoffs include mileage‑based CPM ladders, occasional planning or communication gaps, and a few reports of inconsistent maintenance or “engine lights on.” Safety performance is stable, with low driver out‑of‑service rates and no recent crash reports in the provided snapshot. For drivers seeking regional consistency, a respectful culture, and solid equipment—without the bureaucracy of a large fleet—L J Rogers is a strong contender. As always, verify CPM ladders, bonus details, and load pre‑planning expectations in writing.

So this driver has passed me twice this week on the same 2 lane highway. Speed limit is 55mph which i usually do 60-62 (i take that highway everyday to make deliveries also). This driver has been wreckless, passing on a no passing zone almost causing an accident. Company needs to check who’s been taking hwy 87 from graham towards pittsboro nc this week and actually do something about it. Will be posting this video on all social media since usually that’s the only way problems get solved now a days
This company does not care about safety. Watched one of their trucks blow through a red light on route 22 Pennsylvania. Had I pulled out when my light turned green the truck would have killed me. Called the company to report the safety issue and customer service sent me to their safety department and no one answered. Left a message. No one ever returned my call. Made multiple return calls and now neither the safety department nor customer service picks up. Obviously the company doesn't care about their drivers being safe or they would address the issue when a person leaves a message about a safety concern. I would highly recommend avoiding this company so that they will eventually have to stop doing business and stop jeopardizing people's well-being.
7/18/24 License plate P88403 Just had a driver almost push my family, including 3 kids and myself off into the other lane. We clipped an orange construction cone. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Truck 211. 70 in a 55 and cut me off to not miss his exit to i40. Terrible driver, says a lot about the company.
Terrible company to deal with. AVOID!
Good runs, friendly staff, good equipment.
Love 'em. Knowledgeable staff, very professional and helpful. Steve and Jeff, Mike and Johnnie and Teresa💚 Josh is awesome sauce!!!
Booked a load yesterday and waited for 15min no rate confirmation received so, i call in and broker said load got cover and hung up🤷🏻♂️
Broker Daniel Fuller very unprofessional person to book loads with, took 45 minutes to book a load with him.
I'd definitely recommend
Company is very family-oriented
I was a bit skeptical at first, but L.J. Rogers has exceeded all my expectations
I've been with them for 5 years now and I wouldn't trade it for the world
The pay is great

Took me off the load 30min prior pick up time, stating that driver hasn't call for dispatch. Meanwhile my driver is on site waiting to get loaded. We drove 50miles to make their pick up before the appt time. It wasn't enough for them that I am losing money because we drove the miles, we lost a whole day without a load, but they had the courage to tell me that we are double brokering. After I sent a picture of my truck next to the company name, they stopped replying. AVOID THEM!
Truckers: "All trucking companies are the same! Promising you miles, home time, and more money than the next one. But they can't keep their promises!" Me: Not this one! At L. J. Rogers, they have kept their word from day one, and I'm very grateful for being a part of that company! Thanks for having me!
Being stuck behind one for half an hour on the interstate because they won't GET OVER on the express way is enough for me.
Our company showed up with a truck as sold to the broker. The site refused to legally load the truck to make sure the axels were underweight, the loading site said they would rather take the load off than do as the driver asked and shift the load forward. We relayed this all to the broker and he assured us he would get us a TONU. After requesting a few updates the broker informed us that he wouldn’t be paying the TONU he had already agreed to pay. Be weary of deceptive business practices. This was a Friday afternoon load and cost the driver and our company three days of revenue.
We were traveling north on the turnpike in Florida. I don’t believe in luck, I believe every encounter is a blessing. We met one of your drivers in a service plaza while standing in line to place our lunch order. He paid for our lunch!! A blessing that we will pay forward!! What a nice young man. His name is Sylvester from Cochran, GA. If we ever need your services, we will definitely consider L J Rogers Trucking for the job because of this young man!! Robert and Sarah Cohen.
Broker assured me this load was only 22-23 cubes of brick and would be less than our max weight of 44500. Shipper put 25 cubes on us but still assured us we were legal weight. But after loaded and rolling, we got pulled over at the TN scales and ticketed for being 2440 lbs overweight costing us $244! Broker would not compensate us for this!
Do no work with this company . They are booking you on load and looking for cheaper carrier ! Most of the times don’t have pick numbers and is taking 2 hours to get it . Most likely they are double brokers . The weight and times are never correct.
Won’t pay as promised. Deceptive business practices. Be careful working with this brokerage.
I’d haul for this broker any day. From pick up to drop off, both locations were a breeze and both allowed overnight parking. Shipper got me loaded before the scheduled time and receiver started unloaded me early. The load hand to be loaded & unloaded by hand and that was understandable, either end didn’t interrupt my schedule at all.
Amazing faculty and great place to work
Don’t work with scam people . Stay away
Took them 5 hours to load the trailer. Another place that you hurry up and wait.
Family owned and great place to work!
Good guys in the warehouse and fast loading
Friendly people good place to work
Great place to work!

Great place to work
This trucking company is going to best trucking companies I ever work for. They are very family oriented. Great money and Great Miles. They are family owned and operated. They are located in a very convenient location. There are located right down the road from Tanger Outlets in Mebane.
This is a great company to work for. I work for Carolina southern which L J Rogers is their parent company. Great people to work for. They go out of their way to work with you, have good runs and you can make a pretty decent living as well. Couldn't ask for a better company. I see a lot of companies advertise "a name not a number" nothing could be more true here.
Sorry but work for the company. So they hope on repair equipment fast . Good place to work. We always have freight to haul. So get off the yard is easy.
Good people, have freight to move
The company is small with an average working environment. Home time is decent, though the pay could be improved. It’s not a place for significant career advancement, but the equipment is satisfactory overall. In general, the company is good.
This job is best suited for rookie drivers aiming for a modest paycheck of around $600. It's better to let newcomers take this opportunity, but you'll get to enjoy weekends at home. There are certain individuals who do earn well, though.
What is the best part of working at the company? They are accommodating with your home schedule and offer excellent pay. The bonus program is generous, up to 5pm, and is paid out monthly. You can rely on steady work, a friendly staff who know you by name, and supportive night dispatch—never felt abandoned.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company? For me personally, nothing. Whether it’s a mechanical or personal issue, they are quick to resolve it.
The company provides a good work-life balance, fair pay, and a supportive team. Cons: The workload can be inconsistent at times, and when the truck breaks down, there’s no work available.
