Market Express LLC is a Portland‑based carrier founded in 2016 with roughly 287 power units, operating mainly across the West Coast and Rocky Mountain region with truckload, logistics, and intermodal services. For drivers looking into market express jobs, the company shows strong safety performance, including low unsafe‑driving indicators, zero recent crashes in the provided snapshot, and out‑of‑service rates that beat national averages for both vehicles and drivers.
Market Express comes across as a clean, well‑run operation with newer trucks and a solid safety culture, but the pay is on the low side for most positions. When looking at market express portland reviews, drivers often mention that the equipment is in good shape, the terminals are organized, and payroll is reliable. There’s good camaraderie among drivers, and the company seems to take safety seriously. On the downside, many drivers point out low CPM, minimal benefits, and dispatch or planning that isn’t always tight. Some also feel leadership is a bit distant and there’s a tendency toward micromanagement.

To be honest it's been a pretty good company so far. I mean there are things that need to be changed not gonna get into details about that nd it won't do any good. All im gonna say is if you wanna make a somewhat decent check you better run as hard as you can cause if not it won't be pretty
This is a great trucking company. The employees have a great attitude.
As usual always a pleasure to visit the MX team
Not the best company to grow your business. They don’t care about the owner operators. You can never choose your route. It’s always random loads, heavy loads and different rates! Dispatcher Kori is not very friendly. Always with bad attitude, never answers her phone, or emails on time.
Unprofessional brokerage. Jacksonville, FL office in particular very unreliable. Load information is usually incorrect. I worked with Carl Binder, and Adnan Masic, both were dishonest about load information. When issues arose from their mistakes, they both acted very unprofessionally and quite Childish. Broker is on our Do Not Use list for the future.
Driver was yelling at me because I was trying to exit the freeway as he was entering I-5 north at 2pm on 12/17/2019. Driver behind me left plenty of room for him to enter but he decided to speed up and prevent me from existing and through trash at my vehicle. I tried to call but no answer and didn't see a truck number.
The driver of the truck with double trailers driving at 5:07am in the dark on 140th Ave SE, Renton nearly killed me. I was in the bike lane. The driver should have moved left one lane to give at least 3 feet of space per law. I had to brake and hitting the uneven asphalt next to the curb. Please speak to the driver
0 stars for this trashbag of a company. Managers encoruage unethical practice. Most of their loads are double brokered and they hide information. Adnan Masic is a terrible broker, all lies no honesty here. Stay far away, all you're doing is losing money and time.
Market is the best trucking company ever.
I can definitely say this is the WORST broker in North America. They are on par with companies like TQL. They REFUSE to pay DETENTION, TONU, and DRIVER assist. Twice I've done a load for Adnan Masic, and both times details of driver assist were LEFT OUT. He pockets extra money from customers, pays carriers 1 dollar a mile and calls it good. I'd love to see this man face to face, and turn him into the sheep he really is.
Drivers and yard drivers at fred meyers Puyallup Washington are the most arrogant and unprofessional people you want to deal with. The office people are by FAR worse!! Had a blonde lady cuss me out because i was with 6 feet of the crosswalk when I was backing in!
On July 1, 2021 while driving in my motorhome north bound on I5 north of Vancouver Washington the driver of trailer MX6007C passed me on the right and on the shoulder while flipping me off. He then pulled in front of me close enough to clip my mirror. It was almost a very bad accident as I had to veer sharply into the lane to my left almost hitting a sedan. Ryan Graybeal at Market Express keeps giving me the run around as to when they will fix my rig and why the driver did what he did
It's a workplace where values truly matter
Regular home time. Love it
Respect and support I receive from driver managers are unparalleled
Benefits are fantastic, from paid vacation to 401K
Volvo VNL trucks? They make those long hauls a lot smoother 🛣️
I was a driver for the company for 2 years and I had to leave for my baby but otherwise I would definitely stayed with them, It’s a good company to work for and the people are super friendly and nice. Mike is the best manager I ever had. My husband still drives for the company this very day and loves his job.
Had a great almost 2 years with the company, safety and payroll always took care of me. Equipment was good to me, minus a radiator problem that wasn't the fault of anyone but old age.
This driver needs to go back and retake his CDL, driving way over posted speed limit and tailgating
Very bad brokers. If it’s possible then i would like to not give this single star to them. We booked a load with them from Clarkamas,OR. Tuesday pickup. We sent our driver to pick up this load then they didn’t load us and saying that loaded went and not replying to our calls and emails. And gave FG. For no reason. Very rude people. Can’t do business with them in a ethical manner. Please avoid them at all.
Broker is very bad will give FG for any reason. Very unprofessional behaviour. Will not negotiate with carriers. There is more need of communication between brokers and carriers to make sure hauling is smooth but instead they will choose to give you FG.
Avoid this place like a plague! Brokers threaten and post freightguard for no reason. Looks like one of them brokers who are desperate for $ God forbid you are actually on a load you will not get a good experience 411 and threats for whatever they feel like.
One of the best trucking companies to work for. Was a great company years ago. Now it's obvious that it's not what you hear on the voice message. They have hired people who are not interested in the values of the truck drivers. Don't work for this company. Huge turn over here.
Great company to work for very friendly. They care about there drivers and equipment the dispatchers are nice people to with as long you communicate, with them customer services are friendly well well over all a great co to work for thanks
They were a great company to work for the most part. My fiance, puppy and I lived in the truck it was great. Until I got injured in a different state and while I was in the hospital and had to have surgery , they informed me that we had to get all of our belongings out of the truck. So as I lay in a hospital bed recovering my fiancee and puppy packed our things and were left on the street. Then as we try to scramble to get them off the street and obtain travel back to Oregon once I'm released from the hospital the company decided to hold my final checks. Now we were totally abandoned not where to go no ride 0. A friend from Oregon had to drive all the way to pick us up. Yeah family oriented company my foot. Bah!
Used to work there. Did heavy haul. I miss it. Had a great dispatcher. And most everyone was easy to get along with. Had a new truck. Would go back to work there again definitely.

Very clean yard to work out of. Paved with a nice drivers lounge and free showers. Pay is not bad here along with the over time. Location is in a busy part of PDX. I didn't really have too many complaints working here
Worked here and promised a minimum salary and a dedicated route. I received a nasty truck and a route that didn't pay unless I milked the clock and made it last maximum hours. People were nice though. It's basically trucking & the same at about 75% of all companies. Good luck!
Market Express is a very good company to lease a tractor to. I'm in my 6th year as an owner operator at MX. I get lots of miles and my settlement is in my account every Friday. I am treated with respect from all departments at MX. If you are looking for a company to contact with, Market Express is worth a look.
What an amazing staff Top to Bottom. I was hired as a Western 11 OTR driver, went through orientation, but due to an assumption on my part, they weren’t able to utilize me living in Tucson. I was pretty bummed. The mark of an EXCEPTIONAL trucking company is how incredibly well they treated me after we had to part ways. I’d like to acknowledge Craig, Lisa, Karen, Mike, Darren, Kevin, Casey, and Bruce. You guys and gals were a true pleasure to work with! So. If you are looking for INTEGRITY and HONESTY, Market Express would be a great fit for you. And who knows, maybe they’ll expand to I-10 Tucson? Sign me up!!!
STOP CALLING ME JESSE!!!! I feel underappreciated as a company driver... When I'm in the Denver office, it's great. They listen and understand, and treat you as a person. In the PNW however, many times I've been treated as just a truck number. This is overall a fantastic company to work for, the equipment is great, the Denver staff are very friendly, and the driver services office in Portland will help if they can, but I just wish things would stop changing every time you find a groove in the latest change. It's hard to get to know the folks in the office, because every few months they change. Laid off, downsized, fired, or just quit. The revolving door of staff is really hard to cope with. In addition to just the human cost, it puts drivers in a position of having to get reacquainted with someone new, learning how this person does or does not communicate, getting them used to how you drive and where you drive. Seniority basically means nothing because there isn't anyone that's been around long enough to know who has been here for years or just got hired on. STOP CALLING ME JESSE!!!!
I am an owner operator contracted to Market Express for two years now. I have found them a great company to do work with. The weekly settlements have all been accurate any paid every Friday. Operations keeps me moving with good paying freight. They just opened a new yard in North Portland. If you are an owner operator in the western half of the country, give MX a look.
I left this company, dispatch is rude, you're nothing but a number, this company only cares about the mighty dollar. You sit a lot. Pays good if you can get the miles. I left because this company isn't a family oriented company anymore, use to be. I hardly got home to see family.
Missed my last three routes on pay. Still have not been paid for three days work from Market Express? Disorganized and cheap pay for untrained dispatch in Puyallup Washington. Zero Leadership in Puyallup! Where's my paycheck???
Professional driver since 07 the most money I have ever made the most sincere and patience people a true blessing to work here and thanks for hiring me a very humbling process. From on the spot hiring to new hiring training to hr a full package my family thanks you to and my doggy to.
We as truck drivers have had many driver jobs but this is a keeper very well rounded in all aspects of this industry. And a career like no other. Sincerely the best.
I drove for 7 Years in the early 90s and have been back in the game again since 2014 . I have never made so much money in my career and we made a good living at our previous job . Wife and I come over as an established team that used to run coast to coast each week we make more money and go home every week for our reset and never leave the beautiful west coast !! Come join us..drop and hook freight we get our miles
Been driving OTR since 2007. I may revise this after working here longer, but so far, working here has been kinda like watching circus clowns try to put out a fire. They seem very unorganized and it's hard to get good timely information, instructions, or directions. It's a relatively new company, so maybe they'll improve with time. Or maybe I've just gotten a bad first impression. We'll see, I guess.
As long as you do your job and maintain good communication, this is an easy position. The pay is fair, the equipment is above average, and the owner genuinely cares about driver treatment. Overall, a solid company.
No forced dispatch and high-quality customers. Being an owner-operator was challenging due to maintenance costs and the non-union setup. Trucking hours can make start times tough, especially with grocery accounts, but that’s the nature of the industry—and the checks still clear.
What’s the best part of working here? Reliable weekly pay and great people. I didn’t fully appreciate the job until I left and had to cover fuel and insurance myself—I really miss it. What’s the biggest challenge? Stores frequently aren’t ready for deliveries. How’s the work culture? Good people, but if you don’t set boundaries when you’re exhausted, they’ll keep assigning more work. What’s a typical workday like? Hook, deliver, return—repeat the cycle. Go home, take 10 hours off, and do it all again.
I’ve been with Market since it launched in 2016. A lot of promises were made, but none were fulfilled. Local pay is average, with overtime kicking in after 50 hours for local drivers. Equipment is decent, but you need to work 50-70 hours a week for a decent paycheck. Medical costs are extremely high, especially for families—the deductible is $4,500 per person. Good PTO, and friendly operations staff, but the company has become like any other large trucking operation.
