R&J is a real player in the freight game! I’ve been in the logistics industry for years, and I can tell you that their operational efficiency is something to admire.

🤷‍♂️ Their rates are pretty competitive, and they’ve got a decent reputation for on-time deliveries. But on the other hand, I’ve faced some hiccups with communication

Please say something to the driver of this truck. Didn't care to park like a professional truck driver, no care for others property or the representation of the company. Truck # is in pictures 129107

R&J is fantastic. They are very prompt, and the drivers are all very professional. I've had them fill orders for hundreds of tons of stone the same day.

Wouldnt recommend them for employment they hire you and say you can come in as early as you like then when others complain they tell you to come in after the ones who were there before which was not told when job was offered this job i do not feel is equal employment in no shape or form (avoid) was called the Black guy several times by co-workers i have brought issues including this one to the higher ups and nothing was done about it several times they claim there is no favoritism but i dont know what else you would call it this.. this is a every man for himself type of work. when i mentioned i felt there was favoritism or the issues of being referred to as "The Black man" very racial again was told to ignore by HR and Supervisors im glad to say i am no longer employed here due to the constant attacks and issues at this job. Pay is bad they pay you per load and claim you will get loads but when the people who load you skips over you in line for another cause of them being buddies again was mentioned to HR again nothing was being done only saying they will talk to individual but the issues would stop for a day and continue the way it was being done i dont want to say racism was a big part here and thats why i was attacked at work but it could be a possibility i dont know why my co worker(S) at that time had a issue with me i would come to work work keep my head out of drama and still seemed like i was always being the one punished for no fault of my own. i can go on and on but if this doesnt ward you off i dont know what else i could say

Was on I- 80 this am and R and J dump truck threw up a stone and cracked my windshield. Truck driver was talking on phone and could not get his attention. When I called company from info obtained on door they were not helpful and told me go through my own insurance company . I gave lady exact time and location and driver description and she said unless I had truck # she could not confirm it was their driver. Nice way to avoid responsibility.

Your driver ran me off the side of the road. He went to get over, I blew my horn he looked right at me then continued to run me off the road. If I didn't have my daughter with me I would have let him hit me and sued you.

3 lanes of highway on 480 and all of their drivers sit in the passing lane doing under the speed limit. Just as it happened this morning. Wide open room to the right in both lanes for him. We approached him while he was "hanging" out in the passing lane. From the last comment, sounds like they hire dangerous drivers.

Roads were snow and ice covered on 680 and one of their trucks was getting on from the Madison Avenue Expressway which gets its own lane and does not need to merge. I was fully right next to him and he just plows his truck right at me to enter my lane. I have to slam my breaks on 680 forcing the car behind me to move to the passing lane or hit me and I lose control of the vehicle on the snow and start to fishtail, but he comes over anyways spewing all of the slush onto my windshield so I pass him not wanting that on my car and he speeds up and starts to pass me but then swerved at me again to knock me out of my lane again. I then slowed down and let him go and called the company and did not receive an apology, but was told, "what do you want me to do? I have 600 trucks out there."

The Barnesville terminal is poorly managed. The mechanic acts like a know-it-all but doesn’t fix anything—just writes up drivers. Other terminals are great, but Barnesville is a mess. You have to fight to get anything repaired. The mechanic lacks diesel repair skills and only diagnoses issues through a computer hookup. Management has no experience in the oil and gas industry.

The best part of working here? Not much. The most stressful aspects are the poor equipment, lack of loads, bad management, and low pay. The work environment is negative—only a few top drivers get treated well, while everyone else is overlooked. A typical day involves showing up, having your load canceled, and going home without pay.

R&J Trucking is straightforward point A to point B work. It’s a good company where you don’t feel like just a number. There’s a positive atmosphere among drivers, dispatch, shop staff, and managers. Since most of the work is bulk hauling, you need to be good at problem-solving on job sites.

The advertised weekly pay of $1,100–$1,800 is misleading. You’re lucky to make $1,000 working 55–60 hours a week. Detention pay is only $20 per hour and starts after an hour, meaning two hours of waiting earns just $20. This job is a joke.

I’ve been with the company for about a year and really enjoy it. The equipment is well-maintained, and the work isn’t overly difficult. The pay is great at times, and even when the industry slows down, they find ways to keep drivers busy. Training is paid and lasts about two weeks, depending on experience.

There’s serious money to be made here, but you need to be ready to work hard. If you require a lot of guidance or expect extensive benefits, this may not be the right fit. They don’t spend much time on training, and PTO is minimal. However, they are flexible if you need a few days off.

I finally found my calling as a trucker, and this is where I plan to spend the rest of my career. My terminal is just 11 minutes from home, and I get home every other weekend, which suits me. The management team at Gray Court, SC, is supportive and helpful. I feel valued and like an important part of the team. Even when visiting other terminals, I receive the same level of respect. My truck is clean and well-maintained. When the previous driver damaged the radio display, maintenance ordered a replacement and scheduled installation for my next visit. They also proactively replaced front hub seals before they failed, showing they prioritize safety and keeping drivers moving. Many trucking companies claim to put drivers first, but R&J Trucking actually proves it. I make good money, get home regularly, and love my truck. They wash it every time I return to the terminal, which I appreciate. A clean truck feels great to drive! Other drivers are supportive, and we stay connected beyond work topics. I highly recommend R&J Trucking. .
