RCS Trucking is a small carrier with around 58 power units, running flatbed, dry van, and some heavy‑haul freight across the U.S. For drivers looking into rcs trucking jobs, the company may be a good match if your main priority is strong earning potential and you’re able to handle long hours and the occasional uncertainty that comes with management and planning. It can be a solid short‑term option—especially for those who are motivated by pay and can work through the ups and downs.
When drivers talk about rcs trucking pay, most say it’s competitive for a smaller fleet. Van drivers typically earn around $0.54–$0.64 per mile, while flatbed drivers are paid on a percentage basis. The company is known for having a professional, close‑knit work environment, solid safety performance, and a strong shop and maintenance culture.
A lot of online comments, however, refer to the union “casual/on‑call” vehicle‑moving work under RCS Transportation at Ford plants. That side of the business pays well, but the hours are unpredictable and heavily on‑call, making it better as extra income rather than a full‑time job.

The company maintains a fleet of 58 power units and focuses on three primary service areas: Flatbed, Van, and Heavy Haul divisions. RSC pays well. Part time on-call work. Work when you want. Move Ford vehicles from lot to lot. Most supervisors are extremly easy going. Nice overtime pay.
They are fair in their mileage pay and take care of you when you get stuck on the side of the road. No complaints just time for me to move on in my life since my territory changed.
Driving for RCS enabled myself to haul various load types from permit loads, flat, van, and doubles to bunkhouses. I learned how to navigate the greater Los Angeles area which in my opinion was the hardest part of the job. The best part of the job was that you were busy until every bit of the 200 plus loads were at the next location with most days avg. 600 miles.
Thorough, work with you, friendly
GOOD COMPANY
Very professional and informative. Best truck shop in the area.
Excellent business I take all my vehicles there to be worked on. Couldn't be happier with the work they have done for me.
RCS has always been there to take care of our vehicles..Service dept communicates, is fair and efficient..We take all our cars there from jeep to range Rover.
Trucks cut back so bad , that the truck can not pull its self, bill of laden does not show the money = double billing , cheap freight on top of that, a low ball company to drive for .
Driver on the highway was extremely reckless, pulled out into the fast lane and cut us off with almost no space for us to break. Called the company to report the safety violation from their driver and the guy in the "Safety department" was combative and childish These people obviously don't take the safety of other people on the road seriously at all
I was a bit skeptical about using a new freight company, but RCS Truckinghas been a total game-changer.
RCS has always been reliable and efficient
I always know exactly what's going on with my shipments
They just have solutions that work for me
Increase my efficiency since switching to them
I loved working for this company—the owner is one of the best to work for. The equipment is top-notch, and I made great money with Rob and RCS. Other drivers were always helpful. The only reason I left was because of the safety officer—if he weren’t there, I’d still be running hard in 66. If he ever leaves, I’d definitely return.
I’ve been going to RCS for years, and the service is always excellent! John and Chris are great guys—outgoing and kind. They always treat customers with respect. Highly recommend them as your go-to auto mechanics!
Great group of guys in the shop.
Outstanding service! Friendly staff who treat you like family.
The people are welcoming, and they got to work on my truck right away. I’ve been here a few times and always received great service.
Integrity at its finest.
They did an incredible job on my truck—new tires, power steering pump, rack and pinion, plus an alignment. It rides so much smoother now—it feels like a brand-new truck! I’m grateful for their excellent customer service and hassle-free process. Thank you, guys!
The RCS drivers are like family, always willing to help each other out
This is a brotherhood – the drivers make this a great place to work
I wish I would’ve found this company when I first started, because this is the best company I’ve been with so far!
Good guys work here
My Chevy truck had multiple issues and some I didn't know about. RCS fixed the problems in timely manner. Chris was especially professional in my contacts with him in person and on the phone. He kept me well informed without being bothersome. The mechanics also did an excellent job. My truck is running better than it has in a long time. Thank you.
It was a rough start however we got through it. They do not do warranty work or claims on RVs. I needed my fuel gage fixed and several other items looked St on the RV. Was promptly told they do not work on the house of the RV and can only work on the chassis. After much discussion, we agreed on them working on the fuel tank issue and I asked them to check the entire chassis. They also serviced my generator because I was having issues with that too. Before I left we agreed on a dollar amount not to exceed...which they did but then I asked for a military discount which brought it back down under the agreed upon dollar amount. It did take them two months to make and identify the issues but you have to realize this is a truck company and yhey have to care for their rigs first. I had nothing but time; however, if you're in a bit of a hurry, best look elsewhere. I am pleased with the repairs and the gentlemen I worked with.
Been driving here for three years. Zero complaints, boss looks out for you and takes care of employees.
Started off good but i was promised home on weekendsfriday till monday. I got maybe home on friday sat morning, leave home sunday morning. Broken agreements
I'm prejudice I work here or should I say for RCS. It's a great company to work for.
Excellent
Flat out the BEST Trucking company
The recruiter is terrible—Bill is extremely selective about who he hires. He’s just a recruiter, not the owner of RCS. I almost lost my patience after he wasted two days of my time. Fleet service has bad reviews—check Indeed or Google. Truckload drivers are paid bi-weekly, and if you quit, expect $300–$500 deducted from your last paycheck. You’ll also have to arrange your own way home. I got extra details from a former driver—this company only has about 38 trucks. Before applying, ask the manager to let you speak with three drivers. Be smart—don’t let any carrier ruin your DACT or take your paycheck. I investigate carriers like a private eye, and I’m good at it. I don’t drive trucks anymore.
You should consider hiring drivers who actually know how to drive.
Great company—everyone is friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic workplace—they treat you like family!
